While in Porto, do as the “Tripeiros” do. Get the best feeling for this beautiful town by exploring it like a local. In the morning meeting point at Aliados’ Square.

On your way to the landmark of Porto, the Clerigos Tower, stop and have a strong Portuguese coffee and a “Pastel de Nata” or an “Eclair” in one of the fine pastry shops of the town.

Now continue on into the Old Town and learn about Portuguese day by day life. The route goes through picturesque hidden spots, charming stairways and stunning viewpoints over Porto’s historical center and the Riverside. Porto’s downtown district was declared World Culture Heritage Site back in 1994 by Unesco, the City indeed is truly unique.

As lunch time approaches we suggest you to taste some other of this cities delicacies: Try the “Cachorrinhos” – a sort of mini Hot dogs that you should match with a “fino”, the Porto draft beer, and continue with a “Preguinho” – translated as “Nail” in local language which you taste with “Espadal”, a local light Rosé Wine.

Of course a great red wine from Douro cannot be missed in this tasting. Match it with some local cheese!

You are right in the cities “Bermuda Triangle“ - not so easy to find your way. But again with so many specialties to try!
