Douro

The Douro, few people know, was the first demarcated wine region in the world. Today the Douro is a cultural heritage landscape of humanity, a landscape that was shaped by the hand of man, the pride of this work that is felt in its inhabitants to this day. The wines of this region, perhaps the best known of Portugal were part of several chapters of world history and were known and appreciated in the royal and imperial houses of past centuries.
