Pick up by Minivan or Bus and transfer partly on the highway partly on the narrow twisted streets along the Douro Banks.
After about one and a half hour you will be reaching Peso da Regua and the small century old Wine Estate of Quinta da Casa Amarela, that is just nearby.
Enjoy a very personalized reception and introduction into the tradition of winemaking in Douro and taste some of their great wines.
Continue on to Folgosa, a small village near Pinhão.
Stop at the Restaurant Douro Doc for lunch or just a Snack.
In the afternoon you will reach Quinta da Roeda, just outside of Pinhão. This is one of the oldest Wine Estates in Douro. It is equally a family owned enterprise and the only port company still active in Port wine making.
Here you will be walked through the vineyards and learn about the Douro’s indigenous grapes before you will enjoy a tasting of Rosé Port.
Indeed Croft was the most innovative port wine brand when it invented Rose Port, which is excellent chilled as an aperitif.
After this impressive visit drive back to Porto where you will arrive in the evening.
