DAY 1 – Hello Lisbon
Transfer to the hotel, upon arrival, time at leisure. In the afternoon walking tour to get to know the down town areas of Baixa and Chiado. Using the typical elevator of Gloria to change from one area to the other. Degustation of Portuguese Wine in Port Wine Institute. Dinner at the typical Bairro Alto Tavern BOTA ALTA with genuine regional Cusine.
DAY 2 - Alfama a world to discover
With the famous tramline 28 we will arrive at Largo Portas do Sol from where we can enjoy a beautiful panorama over the city. Walk through Alfama the oldest area of Lisbon and stop for a degustation of canned fish at the famous Conserve shop. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner at your own.
DAY 3 – Alentejo, Land of Flavours
In the morning departure to Évora. On your way stop at one of the most famous wineries of the area the Monte da Ravasqueira. Visit, taste and lunch in the winery. In the afternoon continue to Évora where you will have a walking visit of the city and a tasting at famous Cartuxa Winery. Dinner is at your disposal. Try one of the typical places in downtown Évora such as Luar de Janeiro restaurant, specialists in Portuguese tapas.
DAY 4 – The beauty of upper Alentejo and Portugal cheeses
From Évora you move on in direction of Marvão, one the most beautiful medieval cities of Portugal. Stop at Estremoz to know this very friendly village. Hereby you will visit the famous João Portugal Ramos winery and in the end there will be a wine tasting with regional cheeses. Continue to Marvão. Walking visit and free time to lunch. Afterwards we will drive to Serra da Estrela. Arrival at Pousada da Serra da Estrela. Dinner with regional cuisine, overnight.
DAY 5 – Dão, where Touriga National grows
In the morning we suggest a visit to the famous Cheese Museum of Serra da Estrela with tasting. Continue to Nelas, where you will find one of Dão's best wineries, Casa do Santar. Wine tasting with tapas. Next stop it will be at Falorca Winery with a snack lunch. From here you continue to the Dão Area and Lamego. Dinner and overnight at Visconde da Várzea Hotel.
DAY 6 - Douro – the first demarcated region in the world!
In the morning departure from the hotel to visit the Douro Museum at the capital of the district, Régua. From hear you will reach the beautiful Quinta ova, during a journey that will allow you to appreciate the stunning wine terraces of Douro in full. Taste the olive oil and wines of Quinta Novas production and have lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a cruise in a typical rabelo boat embarkation of Douro. Continue on in the afternoon to visit to Quinta de Bomfim, property of the Symington House that this year obtained the prize of Best Port wine of the world for its Port Offley wine. Continue on to Porto city by bus in the afternoon. Check-in at our hotel. Dinner on your own.
DAY 7 – The discovery of Porto
Visit of the city of Porto, with entrance in the Palácio da Bolsa. Then visit the Ramos Pinto Cellars. At the end of this visit you will taste delicious port wine matching it with chocolate. Bike ride to FOZ do Douro (3-4 km). We suggest to have lunch at a seafood restaurant in Matosinhos. Free afternoon. In the evening dine at the Fladgate Partnership restaurant with Taylors Caves visit and pre-dinner tasting.
DAY 8 – The last day of this memorable journey!
Morning at your disposal. Transfer to the airport for your flight back
